Before being cast as rivalrous cousins Albert and Billy Narracott in the hit Broadway production of War Horse, Seth Numrich and Matt Doyle played star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet in Private Romeo. Set in an all-boys’ military academy, the independent feature film traces a romantic relationship between Numrich and Doyle sparked when their English class begins reading Shakespeare’s tragedy. “We were auditioning for War Horse while we were shooting,” Numrich tells Broadway.com of his movie debut. “Matt is an amazingly talented actor, and it’s been a pleasure to work with him in two completely different projects.” Private Romeo is being shopped around to various festivals, but its steamy trailer has already gotten attention, especially now that the film's two very attractive leads are appearing together on Broadway.
